Marine Farms

Screw anchors offer greater security, longevity, and spatial efficiency for marine farm infrastructure.
- Independent testing on a range of substrates has shown a 25-tonne capacity, with a safe working load of 12.5 tonnes (using a safety factor of 2), is possible using our shaftless screw anchor units.
- Safe, diver-less installation
- Accuracy of installation using our GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) combined with a very low warp ratio, allows for greater utilisation of your consented farm space.
- This ensures correct and even spacing between lines, which promotes good water flow and better access for vessel support.
- Our system has the smallest seabed footprint of any anchoring system on the market. Once the anchor is screwed 4 – 6 metres into the seabed, the only visual sign is the warp line extending from the seabed to the surface.
- No seabed degradation – making this a truely Environmentally Friendly anchoring solution.
- Long-lasting performance: Screw anchors have lasted up to 25 years thanks to their depth. Buried deep into the seabed, the anchors are protected from oxidation, preventing rusting of the high-quality steel.
Marine Farm Maintenance & Inspection Services
-
Farm Relocation or Extensions:
We can reposition or extend your marine farm quickly and efficiently, whether it is anchored by concrete blocks or helical (screw) Anchors. We can also remove any old warps that are no longer required.
-
Warp Cleaning / Anchor Inspection:
We can inspect your Anchoring system, including any fitted chains, and clean your warps while checking and measuring them for wear or damage.
Our non-damaging cleaning method provides valuable maintenance insight.
“Preventative Maintenance Saves Money”. -
Underwater Inspection / Video:
We can carry out visual inspections using video or still camera footage. We can also video your vessel’s hull for survey purposes and supply recordings for review by your surveyor.
